MR. ASLAM KHALIQ

Chief Executive Officer (Acting)

Aslam Khaliq is presently serving as Chairman & acting CEO of The Hunar Foundation. He was former chairman and adviser of Pakistan Tobacco Company Ltd, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco Company which employees over a 100,000 people with operations in around 180 countries and is market leader in more than 50 countries selling over 300 brands.
He is also presently the Chairman of Reckitt Benckiser (Pakistan) Ltd & Chairman of CHAL Foundation (Not for Profit NGO), besides being on the Board of Governors of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) & PIA Investments.
He has served on the Boards of Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd, National Data and Registration Authority (NADRA) GOP, Islamabad Stock Exchange, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Bio-Sciences (Pvt.) Ltd & Pakistan International Airline (PIA).
He is the Honorary Council General of Bulgaria in Pakistan. He has also served as member of the Board of Governors of Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Karachi, National Vocational and Training Commission and Intellectual Property Organization, Government of Pakistan.

Mr. Syed Mehdi Hasnain

Syed Mehdi Hasnain is one the leading Business, Operations Excellence and Resource Management brains in Pakistan at current. A unique career that started at grass-roots level in Pakistan working hands-on diverse Industrial manufacturing and installation projects in Power, Cement, Oil and Gas and Chemical sectors. Now with 25 years of experience in manufacturing, steel, automotive, retail and electronics industries has served in USA as Worldwide Director of Quality with APC-Schneider; a multi-billion dollar world leader in Data Infrastructures and UPS systems, prior as Global Planning & Launch Manager with MEMC (Inventors of semi-conductor wafers $ now listed as SUNEdison) and Product Manufacturing and Quality Champion with ITT Industries a conglomerate from MI. He has had the distinction of co-founding the first Pakistan based global e-commerce portals (among them Tohfay.com) winning the prestigious PASHA awards twice in Pakistan IT industry.
Investing over a decade of Learning and Development initiatives in North America, His recent assignments as Head of Operations at International Steels Ltd. He is the founding partner of consulting venture AMG International which is providing strategic and financial leadership to top-end management of major large and medium size organizations both within Pakistan and across the Globe. Mehdi holds BE in Engineering and dual MBA in Operations Management and Finance (PA-USA). He is a Certified Black-Belt for Six-Sigma Quality and Lean and a Lead Auditor for ISO/TS Standards.

Mr. Abdul Majeed Motiwala

Head of Services

Mr. Abdul Majeed Motiwala has done his Chartered Accountancy from A.F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of Price Water House) Karachi, he has served Ernst & Young at E&Y Middle East Head Office as Audit Manager and also with British Cables Co. He has spent 23 years with Pfizer Pakistan Ltd. ( which is a merged company of Pfizer Laboratories Ltd, Park Davis Co Ltd and Pharmacia Ltd ) where he enjoyed various positions including Director Finance for 10 years, HR Director and Marketing Director. Before his retirement, he was elevated to the position of Chairman, Managing Director and CEO of Pfizer Pakistan Limited and Wyeth Pakistan Limited. At present, he is holding a position of Vice President Social Welfare Department at Al-Huda International Welfare Foundation.He is alumni of Harvard School of Management, Stanford University and University of Indiana- USA.

Zahid ul Islam

Head of Operations & Projects

Mr. Zahid-ul-Islam brings with him rich experience of 37 years at corporate level in Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing and Supply Chain in Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited followed by rendering services as Managing Partner at Pathways, Director at Bushra Trading International, Director Supply Chain at Haidri Beverages Pvt. Ltd, and General Manager Supply Chain at Panther Tyres Limited. Mr. Zahid holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with specialization in Mechanical from NED University, Karachi.

Mr. Nabeel Zafar

Head of Academic Planning & Development

Mr. Nabeel Zafar, Deputy General Manager is among the core management team of THF having manufacturing, building and infrastructure development experience. His versatile career spans over a decade with strong technical, research & development accomplishments in various operational, engineering design, manufacturing and management capacities. He is a seasoned expert and renowned commercial CAD/CAM professional, holding degrees in the industrial and manufacturing engineering, masters of engineering management with specialization in quality and a another master's degree in automotive manufacturing. Having diversified experience in the field of engineering and manufacturing management i.e. computer aided design and manufacturing, reverse engineering, tools, dies and moulds development, building, infrastructure and layouts development, MIS / ERP / MRP/ SIS design and deployment along with quality system procedure development and implementation etc. His work has been appreciated and encouraged by numerous foreign specialists and professors.

Ms. Ayesha Haq

Head of Resource Mobilization Department

Ayesha Haq is responsible for overseeing the effective management of Hunar's Resource Management & Development and Brand Marketing. Ayesha brings a rich experience of 16 years of Canadian study and work experience in the field of Management, Donor stewardship, Fundraising and Strategic Planning for the Non-Profit Sector, with a track record of orchestrating innovations that generate high impact results. She also carries management and marketing experience in the estate and facilities development industry
Ayesha is passionate about engaging people on behalf of the world's most vulnerable individuals and is a strong advocate of empowering those living in poverty with sustainable opportunities for improved livelihood. Driven by this compassion Ayesha has worked for and served on the Board of Canadian non-profit organizations. Furthermore, she was also the President for Developments in Literacy Toronto (DIL Toronto) for 4 years during which time she spearheaded the overall direction, management, fundraising strategy and creative vision that lead to the growth and reach of the organization in Toronto.

Air Cdre. (Retd.) Nasiruddin

Head of Grants, Administration & Projects

Air Commodore (Retd) Nasir brings with him rich work experience of 31 years in in the field of management, electronics and administration. He during his tenure with PAF has served as Instructor at PAF Academy Risalpur and various Training Institutes of PAF. Besides serving at various staff and senior command appointments in PAF, he has also served as Director Technical in Civil Aviation Authority Pakistan. Air Cdre Nasir holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Electronics Engineering from College of Aeronautical Engineering, and Master degree in Information technology. He is a Graduate of PAF Air War College and a recipient of Sitar-i-Imtiaz Military.

Liaquat Rabbani

Sahib Dad Abdul Mannan Khan Technical Institute, Kharian

Mr. Liaquat Rabbani brings with him a rich work experience of 14 years in the field of Electrical, Teaching & Training and Academic Operations Management in Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET) sector followed by numerous professional trainings. Prior to joining The Hunar Foundation, he has worked at Aman Foundation (AMANTECH), Siemens Pakistan Engineering Company Limited and Crescent Textile in different capacities. Mr. Liaquat holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Technology from Indus University Karachi and also qualified a diploma in Engineering IVQ Electrical & Electronics from City & Guilds UK. Recently completed MBA in HRM and is waiting for the result.

Wg Cdr. (Retd.) Asad Ali Khan

Dehli Mercantile Society Technical Institute, Karachi

Mr. Asad Ali Khan has more than twenty years experience of training, human resource management, sales and marketing, maintenance and operations of sensitive electronic systems on the inventory of PAF. He has served as Chief Administrator in SSVTI in Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) sector of KPK Pakistan. He has been deputed as Production Control Officer at PAC Kamra coordinate with Engineering universities and Colleges, Human resource management and training of technicians working in PAC, Marketing of PAC products in international and domestic markets, Production planning of aviation products, and commercial ventures.

Ms. Mahira Butt

Ms. Mahira Butt holds the degree of Master in Business Administration in Human Resource Management. She has more than 10 years of professional experience in the Education sector, and worked in different capacities and served for leadership positions at one of Pakistan's leading schools before joining THF. With her expertise in Academics and Management, Mahira is overseeing the institute's operations effectively and is efficient in leading the workforce. Mrs. Naila Hayat

Being the Principal of The Women Vocational Institute she brings in prolific work experience of over 13 years in the Education, Management and Administrative field and blends in the Fashion Industry with ease for she has been closely associated with the related industry for over 10 years. Mr. Haresh Kumar Khatri

Mr. Haresh Kumar Khatri's career encompasses 20 years of experience in Education System Development and Management followed by numerous trainings and internships. Mr. Athar Sultan

Lt. Col. (Retd.) Ishfaque Ali

Ishfaque Ali brings with him rich work experience of 25 years in in the field of management, electronics and administration. Prior to joining Hunar he has served in key positions and across the country in the Pakistan Army. A qualified post Graduate in Computer Science from BZU Multan along with Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication (Electrical) from NUST Islamabad, Lt. Col. Ishfaque also has experience of managing various projects including management and coordination of Multan Technical Education Centre.
